Public address and voice alarm are not the same thing.

A public address system handles the everyday: background music in a restaurant or resort, zoned paging in a warehouse, flight and passenger announcements in a terminal. Its priorities are sound quality, coverage and ease of use.

A voice alarm system is life safety equipment. It must deliver intelligible, pre-recorded or live evacuation instructions in an emergency, with supervised amplifiers, monitored speaker lines, backup power and automatic fault reporting, because failure is not an option when the message is “evacuate now”.

Modern IP-based platforms can do both from one system: everyday audio with life safety-grade reliability underneath. We design across the full spectrum, from a small hospitality venue to a multi-zone airport or stadium deployment, indoors and out.

From background music to automated evacuation.

Background music provides even, comfortable audio coverage for restaurants, bars, retail spaces, hotels and resorts, tuned to the acoustics of each area. General announcements can be delivered live or scheduled from call stations, reaching one zone, several zones or the entire facility, while zoned paging allows specific areas such as a single floor, wing or warehouse aisle to be addressed without disturbing the rest of the site. Voice alarm systems provide emergency messaging with supervised amplification, monitored speaker circuits and battery backup, engineered for reliability under fault conditions. Pre-recorded, phased evacuation instructions can be triggered automatically by the fire detection system, zone by zone according to the evacuation strategy, with direct fire panel integration ensuring the correct announcements are initiated without operator delay. An IP-based architecture enables networked audio distribution across buildings and sites, simplifying cabling and supporting centralised management, while a range of loudspeaker types, including ceiling, wall, horn and column speakers, provides effective indoor and outdoor coverage from intimate interiors to large open-air areas.
